Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This policy describes Pollen Atlas as it actually runs today. If a data practice changes, this page is updated first, and the date above changes with it.

The short version

You can check today’s pollen count, the 5-day forecast and air quality for cities across the United States, and search a directory of allergists — and just browsing those pages collects nothing about you. There are no advertising trackers on this site, and no sale of personal information. The rest of this page is the same statements with their working shown.

What we collect today

  • Browsing: when you browse Pollen Atlas — city pages, forecasts, the pollen map, the city rankings, news articles — we collect nothing about you. The site runs no analytics and no advertising or social-media trackers, and the only cookie it sets for a visitor who is just browsing is the one that remembers your cookie choice.
  • Allergist accounts: if you create an allergist account, we store the details you give us — your name, email address, practice information and listing details — so we can run your account and display your directory listing. A cookie keeps you signed in; see the Cookie Policy.
  • Directory listings: our allergist directory displays professional listing information — names, specialties, practice addresses and phone numbers. If you are listed and something is wrong, you can claim your listing from its page or contact us and we will correct it.
  • Email: if you email us, we keep your message and your email address so we can read and answer it.
  • Hosting logs: our hosting provider processes standard server logs — IP address, browser type, timestamps, pages requested — to operate and secure the site. We do not use these logs to profile visitors or build advertising audiences.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set advertising cookies, does not run third-party advertising or social-media trackers, and does not fingerprint browsers. The only cookie this site sets for a visitor who is just browsing is the one that remembers your cookie choice. If you sign in, the site also uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to protect the sign-in process. If analytics are added later, they will be named here — and in our Cookie Policy — with what they collect, before they are switched on, and they will not run unless you accept them. The full cookie list is always in the Cookie Policy.

Sale and sharing of personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Nothing you do on this site today is shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. California residents have these rights — to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of any sale or sharing — under the CCPA/CPRA; the route is the same for everyone: email [CONTACT EMAIL — CONFIRM] with “Privacy” in the subject line. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right. Because we hold so little, most requests are answered by confirming there is nothing to find.

Retention

Email is kept while a conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Hosting logs are retained by the provider on its standard schedule. Allergist account information is kept while the account is active.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16; if you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

Changes to this policy are posted on this page with a new date, and changes that affect sharing take effect only after they are posted. Questions: [CONTACT EMAIL — CONFIRM].
